Department Overview

Mathematics is a very important pillar of engineering. The role of mathematics in engineering is to reduce the lead time for an optimised solution of an engineering problem. The Department of Mathematics at Mysuru Royal Institute of Technology strives to make students excel in mathematics through both theoretical rigor and practical application.

Students get to experience mathematics with advanced tools like NumPy, SymPy, SciPy, and MATLAB. All mathematics lectures are aided by parallel hands-on usage on computers using modern tools, helping students develop strong reasoning ability and the skills to apply knowledge at an early stage.
